This Queen’s image has two distinguishing traits. It is just the second queen portrait created by a Canadian artist and the first without a crown during her reign.
Two sugar maple leaves are shown on the back side of the 2022 10 oz Silver Magnificent Maple Leaf Coins. While the normal Silver Maple Leaf Coin depicts an expanded view of a single maple leaf in front-facing relief, the Magnificent Maple Series depicts a design inspired by nature in which two linked leaves seem to be falling from a tree. A micro-laser etched maple leaf privy mark is included in the field.
