About Goldbacks

Goldbacks are a unique form of currency crafted with 24K gold and are sandwiched between layers of clear polyester that gives them the appearance of regular notes. Each Goldback unit represents 1/1000 of an ounce of pure gold and offers a special way to own fractional gold bullion. These gold notes are available in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50, with each denomination containing increasingly larger amounts of gold.

These are marketed as “local currency” or “Voluntary currency” in some regions of the USA. It has also gained popularity beyond local transactions and is often purchased for its gold value or as prized collector’s items.
