About Perth Mint

Obverse of the Coin:
Australian Silver Kangaroo Coins have a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the front. An image of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the front of Australian Silver Kangaroo Coins (till 2023). This portrayed image is the sixth generation to appear on Perth Mint coins, created by Jody Clark for the Royal Mint of England in 2015.
In right-profile relief, this artwork depicts the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. Around the image, her name, the word “Australia,” and the coin’s face value, “1 Dollar,” are written. The 2022 coin is the final one featuring the Queen, who died in 2022.
Reverse of the Coin:
The back of the coin features a kangaroo in mid-leap that changes annually. It states “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” and includes The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark, along with the coin’s weight, purity, and year.
